Planetary Pacification

Hunt the hidden Conduit, deploy the Resonator, survive hive retaliation, and pacify Nauvis and Gleba for the perfect late-game experience. Orbital Map Uplink is strongly recommended for the full satellite-intelligence experience.

Planetary Pacification

Hunt the hidden Conduit. Break the hive. Pacify the planet.

Planetary Pacification adds late-game planetary pacification objectives to hostile worlds. Instead of endlessly clearing nests, you can now identify the core of a planet's alien network, provoke its response, survive the retaliation, and permanently pacify the surface.

On Nauvis, a hidden alien Conduit anchors the planet's hive network somewhere far beyond your base. Use orbital intelligence, narrow down possible signal regions, deploy the Resonator, survive escalating hive retaliation, and destroy the Conduit during its vulnerability window.

With version 0.6.0, the campaign expands to Gleba with a separate biological pacification loop built around spore growth, Bloomers, resonance pressure, and the hidden Spore Heart.

Nauvis Pacification

Nauvis uses the original Conduit-based pacification loop.

Somewhere on the planet, a hidden Conduit acts as a central anchor for the hive. Finding it requires intelligence gathering, preparation, and a final operation against escalating alien resistance.

Nauvis flow

  • Build orbital intelligence through scans.
  • Narrow down possible Conduit signal regions.
  • Deploy and activate the Resonator.
  • Survive Behemoth retaliation waves.
  • Force the Conduit into a vulnerability window.
  • Destroy the Conduit.
  • Permanently pacify Nauvis.

The final operation is intended to feel like a late-game military campaign rather than simple nest clearing.

Gleba Pacification

New in 0.6.0

Gleba does not use the same Conduit structure as Nauvis. Instead, the planet responds through biological pressure, spore activity, Bloomers, and a hidden Spore Heart.

To pacify Gleba, you must place and activate the Resonator, endure the resonance siege, locate the Spore Heart, break through its living defences, and rupture it.

Gleba flow

  • Establish a presence on Gleba.
  • Activate the Resonator.
  • Survive the planet's spore response.
  • Deal with remote and nearby Bloomers.
  • Locate the hidden Spore Heart.
  • Assault the Spore Heart and its defensive growths.
  • Destroy the Spore Heart.
  • Permanently pacify Gleba.

Gleba is intended to feel different from Nauvis: less like a signal hunt for a hidden machine, and more like provoking a hostile living ecosystem until its core is exposed.

Recommended Companion Mod

Planetary Pacification works standalone, but Orbital Map Uplink is strongly recommended for the intended Nauvis experience.

With Orbital Map Uplink installed, satellite scans become part of the Conduit discovery loop, giving the campaign a stronger reconnaissance and planetary-intelligence feel.

Orbital Map Uplink supports the Nauvis discovery experience. Gleba's Spore Heart discovery is driven by Resonator activity and the planet's biological response.

What to Expect

Nauvis

  • Hidden late-game Conduit objective.
  • Orbital scan-based signal discovery.
  • Resonator disruption and vulnerability cycle.
  • Behemoth retaliation waves.
  • Forced hive expansion during the final operation.
  • Persistent Nauvis pacification after victory.

Gleba

  • New Gleba-specific pacification loop.
  • Hidden Spore Heart objective.
  • Resonance siege event.
  • Remote and nearby Bloomers as biological pressure points.
  • Gleba enemy retaliation using wrigglers, strafers, and stompers.
  • Spore Heart defensive growths.
  • Persistent Gleba pacification after victory.

Version 0.6.0 Highlights

Version 0.6.0 is the Gleba Pacification Update.

This update introduces the first major expansion of the pacification system beyond Nauvis. Gleba now has its own objective, pressure mechanics, enemy response, and final target.

Added

  • Gleba Resonator pacification loop.
  • Hidden Spore Heart objective.
  • Bloomer growths and defensive pressure.
  • Gleba enemy retaliation waves.
  • Spore Heart assault phase.
  • Persistent Gleba pacification state.
  • New Gleba-specific graphics and animations for the Spore Heart and Bloomers.

Future Plans

The hive may not stay silent forever.

Future updates are planned to explore Rebirth, a post-pacification endgame system that may allow hostile worlds to be deliberately reawakened for renewed challenge, rewards, or late-game escalation.

Further work may also expand planet-specific pacification systems, improve visual effects, add more UI feedback, and deepen the relationship between orbital intelligence, Resonator activity, and planetary hive response.

Credits / Attributions

Graphics credits and original asset attributions are retained, including Hurricane's structure artwork and the Core Extractor visual assets used for the Resonator and Conduit.

Additional generated and edited visual assets are used for Gleba-specific structures including the Spore Heart and Bloomers (WIP).

Inspiration

This mod was inspired by community discussion around the idea of a planet-scale alien hive network and the possibility of a central structure whose destruction could pacify a hostile world.

Work in Progress

Planetary Pacification is still in active development.

Bugs, balance feedback, and gameplay impressions are very welcome.
