My only pet peeve with Maraxsis is that you can need 5-10-20 times the industry to start up a factory just to deal with the quality byproducts when you are still just figuring other things out. Going into menus to set recipes and filters is not difficulty.
Moves basic material recipes from being exclusive to the Hydro plant to being doable in other machines as well, so you can tackle the quality game when you are ready for it instead of disabling it entirely. I do still find myself naturally going for the quality on some of those recipes, and see myself go for quality later, but this single file mod still does more than it reasonably should to ease out/remove that curve.
Only adds a recipe for sulfur in the foundry, the rest of the original changes around the salt loop and rocket fuel were added back to the base mod.
Rocket fuel in the chemplants were removed, because the submarines can accept it for a quality based speed bonus so it's no longer a waste byproduct.

While I patch into it, I still think that maraxsis is a fitting addition to the DLC.
