LEVELING
- Killing the first biter triggers the Biter Mutagenesis tech, unlocking the ability for biters to be upgraded in the following ways by researching the corresponding tech:
- Biomass Scaling: Size (up to 2.5x) and health
- Swarm Architecture: Attack group size increased
- Endocrine Overdrive: Movement and attack speed increased
- Xeno-gene Splicing: Attack damage increased
- Apex Strain Evolution: Each level increases the global rank by 1 level
- Each time the player researches a technology, they will additionally receive one level in Apex Strain Evolution
- At level 150, a single Pandora Omega enemy spawns on the map
- This is roughly around the time most players are getting ready for Aquilo
- Pandora Omega moves slowly but will travel any distance to reach the player's science labs.
- Pandora Omega destroys infrastructure on contact and is roughly equivalent in health and health regen to a Medium Demolisher
- Pandora will initially spawn a maximum of once every 12 hours of playtime
- Pandora ignores water tiles and moves through it with a splishy splash
- Enemies will no longer increase in rank after level 100, but the time between Pandora spawns will decrease to around 4 hours
