Fulgoran Sludge Fork

by NOiZE

Replaces Fulgora's heavy oil oceans with polluted Fulgoran Sludge. Requires processing sludge to extract crude oil, scarce water, and landfill byproduct. Removes ice from scrap pools, forcing reliance on oil processing and gas combustion for water.

The oceans of Fulgora aren't clean, ready-to-use heavy oil. They are glorified swamps of toxic, polluted sludge.

This mod completely transforms Fulgora's resource meta. The endless heavy oil oceans are replaced with Fulgoran Sludge, a thick slurry filled with silt and microplastics. Before you can use a single drop of oil, you must run this sludge through chemical separation plants to split it into crude oil, tiny amounts of water, and an abundance of unwanted silt (which solidifies into Landfill, though thankfully landfill can now be recycled back into stone).

Worse yet, the ice chunks have been completely stripped from the planet's scrap pools. Because water is now an extreme premium, your survival depends entirely on setting up tight loops: separating sludge for crude, refining that crude into petroleum gas, and burning that gas via combustion to keep your advanced oil processing online.
