Extended Vanilla: Refining

An overhaul to the Vanilla ore processing while maintaining the style and simplicity of Factorio. Now compatible and balanced around Space Age. (Inspired from Minecraft's Mekanism mod.)

b Possible bug, Steel Dust crafting time

Advanced steel processing takes too long, is this intentional? 10.8 seconds for 1 Dust.

requires 324 T1 Assemblers to make enough dust for 1 yellow belt of steel dust, and so much coal input as well.

Yeah this was made to balance the amount of time required to craft a single steel plate in relation to the normal 16s required in Vanilla.
But maybe this is too much - I could change something in the future.

Still you need to consider that to fill a single yellow belt in Vanilla factorio you need 120 + 120 steel furnaces to work.
(Or 5x yellow belts full of iron ore and therefore 5x of plates.)

Ok to solve this problem, and since assemblers are many times changed depending on the mods you're playing, I've decided that the steel processes (advanced and elite) will be done in crushers, and that the new time ratios between steel processing and dust smelting will be 1 to 2.
(3.2s on advanced steel processing - 6.4 on steel dust to plate.)

These changes will reduce the amounts of machines needed to get the famous 1 full yellow belt to 48 crushers and 48 steel furnaces.
(Plus 78 crushers if you decide to use the advanced iron crushing recipe to produce the iron dust, or 15 if you use the alternative smelting recipe.)

Obviously the ratios between resources used and steel produced remain unchanged.
(900 steel plates per minute from 3600 (alternative smelting) / 2058 (advanced crushing) iron ore per minute.)

Ohh, okay thank you.

Here you are some fresh new changes:
(These are some of them.)

Version: 2.6.0

Date: 2024.03.21
Modding:
- Steel processing was rebalanced in terms of time requirements.
(Now ratios between machines are more linear and less machines are needed to have a full belt of steel plates.)
- Steel dust smelting: 3.2s --> 6.4s.
- Advanced steel processing: 10.2 --> 3.2s / Now done in crushers. (0.25 steel plates from iron dust.)
- Elite steel processing: 4.4s --> 3.2s / Ingredients unchanged / Results: 1 + 1 at 25% steel dust --> 1.5 steel dust / Now done in crushers. (0,375 steel plates from iron dust instead of 0.3125.)
- And these are the new changes in the ore processing.
- Advanced ore crushing: 9s --> 6s. (Recipes unchanged.)
- Base ore enriching: 9s --> 10s. (Recipes unchanged.)
