This is in Factorio 2.0.76 with no other mods aside from Escape to Space's dependencies.

Try with the new version, i adjusted the sprites size.
I'm a little bit confused tho, in my local playtest the game starts without any errors. I'll try the modpack on a different machine

If I resize all six data-disk.pngs and chemical-stager-icon.png to 256x256 (I think that was all) the game then loads successfully and I can start a new game.

At a wild guess you have a right-size version hanging about locally which doesn't end up in the shipped ZIP.

That could be possibile, i think, but that would also be strange. I directly compressed the version that i use (i like developing directly into factorio mods folder)

Can you copy and paste the error that you're getting?

Tried with a fresh factorio installation from Steam, downloaded the modpack and the game starts with no errors. This is really strange

Try with the new version 0.4.9, i have adjusted sizes and made sure that these matched with the prototypes

yeah it loads correctly now, the error i was getting was the same icon size thing as above
