I had to check the uninstall option, completely disable the mod, load/save, and then reinstall it in order to reset the brightness of platforms to normal.

Actually scratch that, the option just doesn't work. Platforms get darker even though I disabled that.

Unable to reproduce sorry. Toggling works fine with any setup I can think of, might've been fixed in the last update.

I Have the same, i tried using the uninstall option as well. and even after that my game is dark on the platforms, although the solar energy is there... (now playing without Diurnal Dynamics. Will try to install again I guess?

Hmm it seems the enable dark platforms setting works the otherway around, so Enable it if you want to disable it.

EDIT, no that's also not true... but now the time is still again at least lol.

I got it fixed for me, So you need to enable the dark platforms. then use the uninstall checkmark in the map settings.
Save the game
uninstall This mod.
reinstall mod, and disable darker platforms in the settings
then reload your game
