FIRST, THE IDEA: A settings option to make enemy attack groups only Form at night, separate from the night Attack option.

With that experimental night attack option enabled, biters still form attack groups during the day, it appears they just wait until night to actually send them. I thought it would be interesting to try and work around shutting off parts of the factory off at night to limit attacks. However, the pollution created during the day still heavily contributes to attacks at night. This does completely make sense for balance, but I still wish there were a way to do it how I want to.

I even got a separate mod to make it so electric machines make much less pollution! That way, in the early game, you can overproduce steam and smelt during the day, and at night you can turn off steam production and smelting to limit pollution...

I love the idea! The implementation isn't simple because it's important to me that the performance impact stays minimal. I will do a deep dive into the API and see how practical it would be to achieve it.
