Adds concentrated solar energy based around heliostat mirrors, which can point at solar power towers to generate heat for heliothermal energy production, or solar lens towers to generate giant lasers.
That doesnt seem to be the case. Its 546 and the power generation per mirror is identical regardless of surface. Using 16 mirrors on one tower, I get 1.76MW of generation during daytime regardless of which surface its placed on
Oh I see, very weird - this always worked with space exploration. Each surface has a solar power multiplier, but it appears the space age planets don't support this (any more? I could swear this worked in the beta).
My apologies for being wrong, and also that fixing this appears to be very non trivial. The description of solar calc (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/solar-calc) has a little explination about why this is an issue, and I have submitted an API request on the forum, as the solution solar calc uses to find the actual solar multiplier is way too complicated and fragile looking for me to be happy with.
Ah thats a shame. Maybe as a stopgap you could define/enumerate multipliers for each planet in the settings? The day/night cycle is working properly, its just the multiplier thats off. Its easy to get the name/type of the surface at least so it wouldnt be too much work to just manually enter the multipliers from factoriopedia
