Fun concept, and it's ok for a while, but in a long playthrough like mine it's completely ruined the game. Lategame is impossible with having to babysit castra 24/7 essentially halting all other progress. Landmines are annoying as hell. Oh you're trying to fight 50 tanks, railgun turrets, and rocket turrets with nukes? Too bad you stepped on a barely visible landmine, that are shat all over the place, now your shield is gone and you're stunned in place and get nuked. Time to reload your last save and do it over again, because respawning in the middle of a million enemies without armor or weapons isn't an option. Don't want to manually run around for hours clearing out enemy bases (yes I already jammed a ton of them, you still need to keep clearing because you will get waves sent at you), too bad any defenses you place are instantly nuked from orbit by enemy artillery taking out everything in the vicinity with them. I thought the combat roboport wouldn't be targeted and could be used for defense, but no it is. This mod desperately needs some kind of option to disable artillery and landmines in particular, because those are absolute cancer and make it a chore to play.
