hey uhh i am a newbie xd especially in this mod. i have tried the shift and enter thing so many times but it never worked. i am not sure what is wrong here. can somebody explain to me?

Try to use some swimming mod, like Noxys swimming mod. You can set to only swim on shallow water. Then you can easily enter the ships

Check the mod control settings. the tab might say "ENTER + unknown", in this case change it to "Enter+Shift".
