Ballistic Missile


A new missile silo for tactical strikes against the biters. The missile payload bay can be filled with ammo and capsules of your choice, so you can decide if you want a single nuclear warhead, a cluster napalm shell or something completely different.

The Ballistic Missile

The ballistic missile silo is meant to be an alternative and a successor to the vanilla artillery.
It's range is determined by the amount of light-oil in the fuel tank. With a full tank almost infinite range is guaranteed.
(If you don't want fuel, you can disable it in the config or change it to your liking)
The missiles are more expensive than artillery shells and must be filled with ammo and capsules.
Contents of the payload defines it's explosion. Most ammo and capsule types are supported.

Important 2.0 Info:

I had to change a lot of stuff for this version. You insert the payload now in a new payload-chest.
I suggest you don't try to use a pre 2.0 savegame with a new version of this mod in 2.0 or later.
If you want that anyways you can use the command /bm_repair to update all silos to the new version if they did not automatically.

Features:

Modular payload system

Fill your Missile's Warhead with ammo and capsules of your choice.
Create a cluster nuclear warhead, a fire-and-poison-hybrid, or something completely different.
Payload examples can be found in the mod-discription images - but there are many more.

Fully automated

Use the Logic Network to set target coordinates and fire a missile (Signals "X" and "Y" to set the position, signal "L" to launch)
The Missile Silo's Connector can also be used to read the inventory of the payload bay.

Remote targeting

Use the Missile Silo Remote to choose your preferred target for annihilation on the run.
The targeter will choose the closest missile silo, that is ready to fire.

Compatible with:

  • Basically everything
  • Can use all ammo items that mods add

Future plans:

  • Configurable surveillance camera that orders missile strikes to the selected targets (for example, biter spawners of a certain amount so you don't waste your missiles)
  • More supported payload items (Hitscan Projectiles)
