b ✅ Fulgora start: Nauvis start resets

(updated a month ago)

I joined a server with base and any-planet-start, starting on Fulgora. After some time there, we launched a ship to Nauvis and spent a day setting up a base etc. there.

The next morning, I logged into the server and the Nauvis map had reset itself. My character was at the original starting position and only this part of the map was visible. The considerable base we'd built the day before had disappeared. I still had my previous items though.

The Fulgora map was still intact tho.

First of all, I'm terribly sorry about this. What happened was that someone new joined the server for the first time after you had set up Nauvis, and because new players always spawn on Nauvis, I have to teleport them to the starting planet (in this case Fulgora) and delete Nauvis again. However, I never actually added code to detect when Nauvis had been visited, so even if you had built stuff on it, it would always get reset from new players. I'm not sure how I overlooked this because it's a pretty serious logic bug, but it should be fixed in 1.0.4, sorry again.

If you have any saves or autosaves with Nauvis progress in them, you'll be able to load those and it won't get deleted. You'll just have to send someone down to the planet to trigger the code that detects when someone visits Nauvis for the first time.

Hi _CodeGreen. Thanks for the response and I'm glad we figured it out.
