Hey!

Really love the idea, been wanting something like this for a long time since I like the galore mods in general and I love playing with angel's metallurgy. To me though the balance is really disappointing though as even the 'best' (last) recipes are still 1 ore to 1 ingot. I understand productivity can change that, but all this mod does right now is make the early game significantly slower and ore processing more complicated and expensive for no gain at all. I understand the design philosophy is sort of vanilla+ and just.. 'alternatives' to vanilla processing but it's hard to see the point.
I'd personally love at least a switch or some kind of configuration to change the efficiencies! Similar mods like extended vanilla or crushing industry add some complexity to metallurgy for far better gains (which they do have configs for), so it'd be nice to have something similar here! But of course, it's solely a preference thing. I still think what you've done is really cool and I appreciate the effort to make angels swing with vanilla better <3

It's also possible I missed something when calculating the ratios but I ended up on a 1:1 most every time.

Hello! Glad you're enjoying the Galore mods :D

Really love the idea, been wanting something like this for a long time since I like the galore mods in general and I love playing with angel's metallurgy. To me though the balance is really disappointing though as even the 'best' (last) recipes are still 1 ore to 1 ingot.

This should not be the case. I just checked myself (using Factory Planner) and for me the data looks like this (not taking possible productivity modules in account):

  • (ore/t1): 1:1 (as expected, you use this recipe more to smelt iron ore/get molten metals for casting/steel.
  • (processed ore/t2): 0.667:1 (more efficient)
  • (pelleted ore/t3): 0.5:1 (way more efficient (200%), in combination with ore processing you can more than quadruple ore yields)

I'd personally love at least a switch or some kind of configuration to change the efficiencies!

Still gonna implement this as a possible custom multiplier on the smelting bonuses, thanks for the suggestion and feedback :D
