Spidertron Patrols

Send spidertrons on patrols and automatically load and unload them using docks. Adds mid-game spiderling to allow the new features to be used sooner. Simpler alternative to AAI Programmable Vehicles. Allows creating patrols for Lex's Aircraft.

b 2.1.20+: sp-spidertron-dock fails to load — circuit_connector must be a list

12 days ago

Spidertron Patrols 2.7.0 fails to load on Factorio 2.1.20/2.1.21:

Error while loading entity prototype "sp-spidertron-dock" (proxy-container): Value must be a list in property tree at ROOT.proxy-container.sp-spidertron-dock.circuit_connector

Cause: circuit_connector is now array[CircuitConnectorDefinition] (one entry per direction_count). prototypes/spidertron-dock.lua passes a single definition:

circuit_connector = circuit_connector_definitions["artillery-turret"],

Fix — wrap it in a list:

circuit_connector = {circuit_connector_definitions["artillery-turret"]},

Confirmed working locally with this one-line change.

Same problem!

This does look like the update messed it up. I was force updated to 2.1.21 from 2.1.20 which I believe was stable.

Also extracting it has lots of addition files like .github folder. FYI mod author probably best to remove some of this.

@Cylindryk Rubia isn't the cause, it just gets listed because it touched the prototype: it bans the dock from Rubia's surface (rubia-surface-blacklist.lua → ban_from_rubia writes surface_conditions). The actual breakage is still the non-list circuit_connector above; the one-line fix in the first post should work with Rubia installed.

One line fix? But where? How?
Orginal post kinda don't really explain that to how to really fix it...

Pulling from the original post, this is what worked for me just now:
SpidertronPatrols_2.7.0/prototypes/spidertron-dock.lua currently has

circuit_connector = circuit_connector_definitions["artillery-turret"],

The fix is to change it to

circuit_connector = {circuit_connector_definitions["artillery-turret"]},
