I assume this is because the throw is done after the arm extends to the final drop position. Perhaps force the inserters to move at least 180* before they can throw.
lol I saw that gif on reddit too. That happens because Bob's inserters let's you set the inserter's hand to be very close to the point where it throws the item so it only has to turn a little bit to do a throw. Not really a bug, just a strong mod combo
