g Armor bonuses from skill points

Armor stats in Factorio have both a flat damage reduction value and a percentage reduction value (ex: light armor has physical resistance 2/20%)
Does the % increase from the 'Armor' skill points apply to the flat value, the percentage value, or both?
If it applies to the % value, it is multiplicative, or additive?

I want to set the %increase by level in the mod setting to my liking, but I may choose very different values if it only multiplies the flat number, or %reduction value (which could lead to obtaining 100+% or damage immunity?)

Ex: I Wear Armor with defensive stats: 12/50%.
My 'armor' skills points add "20%" to my armor value.
Is my effective armor Flat value
A1) 12
A2) 14.4
Is my effective armor % damage reduction value
B1) 50%
B2) 60%
B3) 70%
?

You regain HP on a % of the final damage applied, after armor protection.
