What does this do ?

It adds four music tracks to Gleba !

What if i dont have the space age expansion ?

Then it adds them all on Nauvis !

And that's it ?

No actually this mod can also be used like a music album for my other mod too : https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PI-house-made-music

If both are active then the other mod add the music from this one as instrument for the programmable speakers too for if you want to make a jubebox on your spaceship, or in a special area in your factory ! And a couple settings for if you want to play only this song x)

It also make the song about Nauvis's trees to be played on Nauvis instead of Gleba :)

Why ?

This way you can select your favourite "album" for each game, and when i publish a new song or a new album or try to make the music player better, you don't have to redownload everything.

No why this album ?

If you want to hear some AI-powered reggae, mixed with other music genre ? Sorry for the heresy if you're a purist, for now there's only 4 tracks, but i will probably move in this mod some of the reggae track from my other mods for consistency.

• 1-Glebax-Relaxed-Hero ( 2 min 46 sec) [Gleba]

  Genre : Reggae, Dub, Jazzy, Bhangra, ( yes all that or "experimental" if you want ).
  Inspiration : L'entourloop also Stand High Patrol - Brest Day
  Comment : This is an explosive short song that is very happy and noisy-in-your-ear at the same time with some rapid variation like it's a short piece of theater (strong and heavy bass). Announcing both the joy and trouble of Gleba, and joining influences of the other mods i made for music on Gleba, it was made fiddling with AIs giving prompts with different genres, aiming for a hero-song to be, played just once the first time you land on Gleba, but usually immediatly after i land on Gleba i look back at Nauvis to check on the biters and Fulgora to check on the scrap machines making a mess, and the song was interrupted. And i found the track too cool for just once so it's not a hero track anymore, but it has the energy of a track that could be played just once. More doesn't hurt though, far from it, it's kinda hypnotic i found, not really reggae throughout the whole song, unlike the future track, i promise !

• 2-Oh-Ba-Nan ( 1 min 37 sec) [Gleba]

  Genre : Reggae, Dub, Jazzy ( no Bhangra but it's still experimental ).
  Inspiration : Hard to tell in particular, but here's a barely related song i like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWkU2slZanc
  Comment : This a short song, light and almost carefree, but there's a little "not everything is perfect yet", and a little tension in the detune of the song, the hoarse grain of the bass and the skank. It was made using AIs, aiming for just that :) It's a reminder you need to strech your arms and legs, maybe even swing a bit the shoulders afterwards. The short spoken intro is supposed to make the song punchy for jukeboxes, like an alarm when things fail and a deep breathe is required "and then let's go". I feel the track is like a hug that's why i linked a song i felt related to love, but maybe it's more "recomfort" , "don't worry" the idea. It's difficult to express with words, that's why i publish some songs sometimes, for the feelings , most of the time actually. i hope this one makes you feel more relaxed than the previous one :)

• 3-Tree-Huggers ( 1 min 56 sec) [Nauvis]

  Genre : Reggae, old school.
  Inspiration : Baloo in the Mowgli story
  Comment : This is a happy song, about trees and how they are so lovable. It's more of a children song, the lyrics are very naive, and it's simple and joyful ,as life should be. It was made using AIs. It's going to play on Nauvis only if you are using https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PI-house-made-music too , otherwise it will play on Gleba. I hesitated way too long before publishing it, on this reggae album, or on the one with the "lyrical" song, since it's both but in the end it doesn't matter. It uses almost the same lyrics as the song "electree-hug" from this mod : https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PI-DJ-songs but this version is 100% reggae, no electro in there. It can be played repeatdly using house-made-music mod, at some point you'll be able to sing along, which is scientifically prooven to make you smarter, and more healthy, live longer and have fortune in life, also works for regrowing hair, and look smarter, but for the later the articles were not too serious so don't quote me on this.

• 4-Dem-Nah-Catch-Wild-Tauren ( 3 min 05 sec) [Gleba]

  Comment : This is a song with a video demonstration so i don't have to describe it with words. It was written with the help of AI in a jamaican patois alledegdly close to the one used by Sean Paul, it's about a Tauren who is actually a buffalo soldier that refuse to join the Horde because he doesn't believe in the ways of violence, so he is banished in Gleba, where he sing about it and the biters. It is also sang by AI, i found the quality surprisingly good so i spend a bit of time to remaster what i could, extracting stem, duplicating part of the vocals for very light backing, to make it sound better in headphones. The voice in the intro reminded naaman , it is dedicated to people who lived their life without corruption, keeping a free spirit

• 5-Spaghetti-Spaghetti ( 3 min 15 sec) [Gleba]

  
  Genre : (modern) Reggae ( and blues ? )
  Inspiration : APT APT Sister Nancy bam bam
  Comment : The video is a slightly shorter version than the actual song. The story is about spaghetti, almost personified, seemingly having its own will not bending to rules nor comb or blueprints. (light reference to pastafarian). There is a bit of a blues due to the realisation that spaghetti base can be tedious to work with. It's also a metaphora for the flow of idea in one mind, where similarly as in a factory it can lead to chaos, lack of space, need to breath when there's too much. Some lyrics part are more than dubious my level in jamaican patois, even with the help of AI is pretty bad, mostly due to the AI, it's done most of it. The singing too. I only lightly remastered the song because i really liked the flow, but i would have continue to work on the lyrics otherwise, to try and have the meaning be easier to get. I figure it may not matter because i understood the lyrics of some of my favourites songs only years after. It didn't prevent me to enjoy listening to them. I prefer deep lyrics than 420 reggae, , but for factorio i want to keep it light and funny, so it's an exercice in progress :)

• 6-Spoilage-Jam ( 4 min 02 sec) [Gleba]

Genre : (modern) Reggae
Inspiration : Damian Marley & Nas - On the Road to Zion Rototom music festival Mellow Mood and dub inc.
Comment : This is a more energic song, of modern militant reggae. The struggle here is the spoilage, that keeps jammin' . But in every jam's a lesson. Here it is to stack up stack up the yummmm yummm yummakooo , to mek di flow run sweet. And to keep your heart upbeat, that's the lesson from "Spoilage-Jam", in case of problem. Song was made using AI and it was also used for the lyrics cuz no mi haffi learn patois inna day. I tried to make it playful but it's not a parody of conscious reggae, it is a light reminder to listen to the lyrics of the "jams" and to see the solutions not the problems.
