Is it possible to somehow limit the pipe storage to 1m?
The Global Settings, Startup Settings, and the pipe storage gui all have corresponding capacity limitations. You can see if it can meet your needs.

One storage tank is 25K, and 1m is equivalent to the capacity of 40 storage tanks
It seems to be limited with pipes, but the chest is infinitely loaded with resources.

It's not officially released, but there is a build, and as far as I understand, they are currently testing and making balance changes.
