Hi! Yeah, I made many changes and new features with bugs in the version 1.0.6, I'm working on it. Just published v1.0.7 that fixes 2 SE errors (including one you mentioned) and 2 balance problems, please try it.

Lol, I never tried High Res on my potato computer to save performance, I knew such error will occur one day xD I just fixed it with v1.0.8, I hope it's the last problem for now. And thank you for testing and reporting!

It's ready to use now. Thank you again for repairing it.

But it's not possible to study items that require thunder. I feel like the first red bottle should be able to study it, but without being struck by lightning, it wouldn't be possible to produce it.

Does the power grid still consume electricity?

If it's a planet (not a birth planet) that can be filled with lightning and thunder, it would be cool and could serve as a source of electricity

Hi! The problem is that, unfortunately, Factorio doesn't enable new recipes from researched technologies. Some mods add reloading code, but this leads to duplication of recalculation and some performance degradation. To overcome it, I made a separate extra small mod, feel free to use it: Recipes-Reload.

Speaking of your question, I don't quite understand it... Basically, everything works absolutely the same, you just get new electric energy source using lightning handlers, and lightning towers as energy consumers. You can easily try it out in sandbox game mode :)

Different SE planets have different presets, this is explained on the mod description page in detail. It's also possible to edit them manually, you can remove lightnings or add a lightning preset to any planet using console commands. So, you can easily disable lightnings on home planet.
