When you need to call down the thunder to deal with those pesky biters, launch a rocket with an ion cannon into orbit and show the bugs who's boss.

LOL this is an ion cannon, not a spy satelit. but I can understand the desire.
The Cannon is already overpowered. and for your desire to see more there are certainly other solutions. e.g. use my Radar mod.
but if I ever make a major change again, I might add it as an option. we'll see
