When I put connect a iron pipe to a Duct and point (in/out)take I get the following error in the chat. Strangely this only happens when I connect the pipe to the side of the duct and point. Which is why I didn't notice it before.

reproduce: place iron pipe touching one of the in or out sections of the duct and point
Turns out there was an already opened issue on Pipe Tool's page about this so I added to it https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PickerPipeTools/discussion/5d4ecc1e70bc67000c9eedf2
That bug don't come out from FMF code, so is very difficult for me find a way to solve it.
