Falkior's Tweaks

A collection of configurable quality-of-life and balance tweaks for Factorio 2.0, built around faster progression, smoother building, and less friction in large factories. Designed from personal gameplay experience, with most stronger changes exposed as startup settings.

Current Features

• Linear infinite research: converts exponential infinite research costs to linear scaling where possible. Off by default.
• Cheap research mode: reduces finite technology costs by 75%. Off by default.
• Finite fluid resources: crude oil and supported Space Age fluid resources can use finite quantities.
• Pump anywhere: offshore pumps can be placed more freely, as long as compatible fluid exists nearby.
• Water ores: ores can generate on water tiles.
• Reduced tree collision: trees have very small collision boxes for easier movement and building.
• Pump denerf: vanilla pumps move 12,000 fluid/sec.
• Water-placeable poles and lamps: big electric poles and small lamps can be placed on water.
• Extended big electric poles: big electric pole wire distance is increased to 64 tiles.
• Increased fuel values: supported fuels have 4x fuel value.
• Configurable radar range: radar reveal range defaults to 3x vanilla.
• Faster configurable miners: mining drills are faster and have configurable resource search radius.
• Enhanced robots and roboports: robots carry more, use less energy, have larger batteries, and roboport range/charging are improved.
• Side inserters: rotate pickup position, adjust drop distance, and adjust drop lane with hotkeys.
• Inserter capacity research: adds an infinite inserter capacity bonus after vanilla level 7.
• Underground range visuals: underground belts and pipes show their maximum range.
• Optional productivity cap removal: raises recipe productivity caps far beyond vanilla. Off by default.
• Easier quality: adjusts Space Age quality modules for less speed friction. On by default.

Compatibility

Supports Factorio 2.0 and includes Space Age-specific handling when Space Age is enabled.

Note

This mod is opinionated and tuned for my preferred playstyle: faster, less restrictive, and more convenient. Some changes are intentionally strong, so check the startup settings before starting a save.
