g How to start researching?

The lab requires electricity, but I don't have any power poles available for construciton at the start. How do I research my automation science packs?

Yes, I can confirm this. The latest version (3.0.8) removed Basic electric pole for placing. So for new players that want to try this overhaul has no way to power their labs.

Since we are talking about research . There is a lab that can be crafted by hand but it took 10k seconds to craft ? That is like 83 hours crafting or if count it in gameplay wise an whole week crafting this lab.

Can it be something done also to with this ?

( oh and i am not mentioning i had somewhere seen an 50k seconds crafting time )

I use queue to front mod. Allows crafting new items at the head of the crafting queue. Handy when you've crafted 500 belts and need 1 power pole now.

So it's slowly hand crafting in the background. I'm hoping RPG mod buffs to crafting speed will catch up and equally out haha.

This highlights another bug though. The solar panels generate 0.4 W, while a lab uses 200 kW. So to power the lab, the steam engine is probably necessary. But the steam engine requires a storage tank, which is not unlocked.

So as a side note to the Research/Power problem. I'm currently stuck doing the same.
(I edditor added in some storage tanks for crafting)

i think the power pole disapear again, you need to research Steam power to be able to craft it but how do you research without it? and why are you giving train stops and cargo wagons? https://imgur.com/a/lGhRpIw for pp and starting inventory
