This mod makes optional some of the non-optional changes to vanilla gameplay made by the Alien Biomes mod.
This is not the mod itself with changes, but rather a "mod of a mod". As such, you still need the original mod (and this should not violate any licenses).
This mod can optionally be used with other mods that make similar changes that need undoing.
Features
- Startup setting to add player collision back to trees
- Startup setting to allow placing of resources on landfill again (if so enabled via another mod, or via map editor or the /editor command)
- (New with v0.0.2) Startup setting to restore tile pollution absorption values (Alien Biomes generally made tile pollution absorption less than vanilla, and would even overwrite the values of other mod's added special tiles with a really low value, even if the tile was meant to have a high one). Also attempted to tweak Alien Biomes added tiles to match vanilla values.
- (New with v0.0.3) Startup setting to normalize pollution absorption values of trees added by Alien Biomes to that of vanilla (Alien Biomes trees all absorb 50% more pollution than vanilla).
- (New with v0.0.5) Startup setting to remove resource collision back off from trees, allowing tree placement/spawn on resource tiles.
- (New with v0.0.6) Startup settings to control Alien Biomes (only) rock frequency (Coverage and Max Probability). Alien Biomes increases these by a factor of 3 and 6 across the board before then doing additional per biome type increases. Note: Does not affect Volcanic rocks at this time due to a different method used that I'm still trying to figure out. See the discussion on rocks for more details.
So far, that's it. I am accepting requests, so let me know if you've noticed anything that Alien Biomes, or I guess any other mod, changes that are non-optional changes (though I think for the moment I'll stick with changes to vanilla gameplay that were not necessary for the changes the other mod was making).
