Who wants to go planetside? It's dirty and disgusting, doesn't support engineer life, and has an unpleasant smell. Why not instead grow the factory from orbit?

I don't know if I'm missing something but I can't find a way to produce oil or get plastic for blue science.
I can't plant trees and they don't give any extra bioslurry anyway without productivity not to mention lack of seeds.
I can't liquify coal since I need heavy oil for that and I couldn't even crack that oil since cracking needs blue science.
