Perhaps disabling power draw of the lamps would be better to UPS. Then keep count of all placed lamps and place single invisible lamp down that will use power equal to the number of placed lamps. Less active entities I would guess
Each lamp using power shouldn't have an effect on performance as it's just number of lights * draw. The same way solar panels have zero performance impact.
