First time Warptorio player here. I am assuming that I need a mission to unlock Lab Tech, but I have not seen any missions. Where do I find them? Are they the "Points of Interest" on the Planet information?
I started warping on CD to see if they spawn, 9 warps in a still no POIs

Ok, I finally found the answer. Look at the tooltip when you hover over the broken lab. You need to load the Broken Lab with 100 gears,wires and iron plates, 50 Green circuits, 20 repair packs. Then power it to do basic research.
This should be in a marquee somehwere.

It was yes, but then I assumed it was unlocked with a quest since it did not work. I failed my perception check to notice the tooltip several times.

There is now a holographic display over the broken lab; this should make it more obvious what needs to be done.
