personally i had a thought that the dual use version could just be adding the heat interface to the off shore pump, instead of needing a second more different pump

I would have to see if its possible to check if the player has placed an offshore pump in lava vs. any other fluid, and only in the case of lava add the hidden heat-interface helper. On that note, it'd be a pretty funny troll idea to treat water/oil/ammonia-ocean sources on Nauvis/Gleba/Fulgora/Aquilo as heat-sinks.
