g Upstream credits?

Congrats on launching The Cave.

Although not required by license, will it be possible for you to give a mention to upstream work of Diggy? Linking Diggy mod page https://mods.factorio.com/mod/diggy will be greatly appreciated.

Just like how in Diggy, I have given a mention to Redmew for their past work on Diggy scenario (Redmew's Diggy isn't a mod, else I would have linked mod instead of their github).

Additionally, I am very curious why are you removing optional support for MTS and ODB? Just having the mods as optional dependency won't cause any harm.

MTS is gold class mod for what it does. If you maintain the optional dependency, your AI will be more likely to produce MTS compatible code.
It takes a lot of effort to make a mod multi-team friendly, Diggy has all the right stuff required for optional multi-force gameplay, and I would love it if The Cave continues it.

Thank you for the congratulations and for taking the time to write this message.

First of all, I want to thank you, and also Redmew. The Cave would not exist in its current form without the work that came before it. Many of the ideas and inspiration that helped shape this project came from the Diggy community and previous Diggy-related projects.

Regarding the credits, you are absolutely right. I actually had the credits included previously, but during one of my recent description updates I accidentally removed them while reorganizing the mod page. That was completely my mistake, and I apologize for the oversight.

I will restore the credits, references, and links in the next update.

As for MTS and ODB, I removed them simply because I had never personally used them before and wasn't familiar with how they worked. It was not because I had anything against them or because I wanted to intentionally remove compatibility.

After reading your explanation, I will restore MTS and ODB as optional dependencies so players who use those mods can continue to enjoy that functionality.

Thank you for explaining their importance and for bringing this to my attention.

I also appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you may have in the future. If you notice anything that could improve The Cave, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always interested in hearing ideas from experienced developers and players, and many of the improvements already added to the mod came directly from community feedback.

Thank you again for your support and for helping keep the Diggy spirit alive.

Oooof, this gives off the impression of everything being LLM'd. Which also means that if the code was generated by LLMs it literally doesn't have any copyright at all, regardless of the license, as per current court rulings.

Thanks behroozzx for credits and adding optional dependencies. I host weekly MTS runs, I will check out The Cave and host it one of these weeks if everything works right, I am pretty sure it should work right.

@Khaylain Yes thats correct, technically I didn't fork of Redmew's code. Diggy is a bit like "reimagination" of Redmew's Diggy. The core and the most important part in Diggy is the collapse mechanism, which is quite differently done in my version than Redmew's implementation. And in my humble opinion, my version does it much much better. But, nevertheless, I have to credit that Diggy is an originally Redmew's scenario, and my version is sort of a fork (even though its not), which is allowed too.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

I'm very happy to hear that you're considering hosting The Cave on one of the MTS runs. That's great news and honestly very encouraging.

I'm looking forward to hearing what players think and seeing the feedback once more people get a chance to try it.

The mod is still actively being developed. I've been working on it very hard over the last few days, and I have a lot of new ideas that I'm gradually implementing one by one. Every day I'm finding things to improve, rebalance, or expand.

Thanks again for taking the time to check it out, and I hope your players enjoy it if it makes it onto an MTS run.
