g A few questions

I have a few questions about how to use this mod properly.

I have selected assault spidertron integration, however, building the tarantulator still only requires a regular spidertron.
Additionally, I have noticed that the integrated reactor shows a max output of 1 W (yes, not even kw, just a single watt) which means that any equipment is practically useless since it would take probably at least a few irl hours of waiting before it's even 1 % charged. I have tried setting the energy distribution and fuel efficiency to max value (1000) however, this did not change the power output. The tarantulator is fully fueled. I would like to know what I am doing wrong here.

Edit: After disabling the assault spidertron and disabling assault spidertron integration, I enabled cheats, spawned in a new tarantulator, and this one seems to be working fine. No idea what was up with the first one.

Edit2: Ok no something weird is going on. It ran out of power again for some random reason (I didn't change any of the settings) and now all equipment is completely unpowered again. It is fully fueled with two stacks of uranium cells, there's no difference between walking around or standing still, it's not currently engaged in any fights either. Still need help to figure out how the power mechanics of this mod work.

Thanks for your detailed message — and sorry you’re running into these issues!

  • I wasn’t able to reproduce the integration bug with the Assault Spidertron, but let’s assume it was just a temporary glitch.
  • As for the reactor output: the displayed value (e.g. “1 W”) is always the same, no matter what settings you choose. That’s a limitation of the game itself and can be completely ignored.
  • What actually matters is how you configure fuel efficiency and energy distribution efficiency — these are the only settings that affect real power output.
  • With the default mod settings, enough energy is transferred to run equipment like an exoskeleton without issues. However, if you don’t install a battery, you may experience power shortages. That’s because energy is transferred in intervals, not continuously like with the vanilla Spidertron.

You can find more details in the changelog from 2025-05-06:
"Energy grid efficiency changed from 0.015 (about 0.6 MJ) to 0.5 (about 200 MJ) every 240 ticks / 4 seconds."

Let me know if you’re still seeing strange behavior — happy to help troubleshoot further!
