Hi again,
-Right now the machine detects the spoilage in the container in one direction, but doesn't show the direction, so that's not clear. I can help with that as I've helped with a lot of mods graphically (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/MbrTestMod), if you like (I can do a pr on github)
-I confirm it works with several types of containers (works with rocket silo)
-I believe it currently does an average of all the given product's spoilage. I think you should also be able to scan the most spoiled item (lowest value) in some way. But maybe that's a bit hard to add to a normal combinator
-I could add a specific technology that unlocks that combinator that unlocks after gleba if you wish

In fact please do. I'm currently only capable of programmer art and still practicing.

I think you should also be able to scan the most spoiled item (lowest value) in some way.

I'm actually planning to add a custom gui to have a way for it to be configurable so it can be set to find the most spoiled, most fresh, or average. And maybe some other useful options could be added as well. Not too hard, just time consuming to make a decent gui (according to my experience).

Honestly I think it fits in the "advanced combinators" technology but yeah it's better if it gets unlocked when it's relevant. Shouldn't be too hard for me though.

really good mod but actually setting can set only all scanner to top freshness or top spoil need can chance on each scanner, example for bitter food need command more if top freshness <10% but on biter egg need destroy it or never send in space if top spoil <x%

I mean, that's the plan. Being able to have a different configuration for each scanner.
Still making the gui though so you'll have to wait.
