Purpose

With 2.1, logistics transfer between space platforms is possible, refueling ammo via planetary satellite is now a possibility.
However, the base game does not allow barrelling of space thruster fluids! I looked into the existence of other such mods but found them out of date for 2.1, and perhaps standard barrel sizes of 50 fuel per barrel, a little low throughput.

This mod adds a custom space-canister, which can be barrelled to contain a sizeable volume of thruster juice for all your interplanetary needs!

A mod setting allows you to turn on "barrelling" for all base game fluids too if so desired.

The base canister costs 50 Steel, and 10 LDS to construct, making it inconvenient to craft in space due to the plastic requirement. They represent an entire rocket filled with fluid, and as such, only a single one can be launched planet side at a time.
