Why bring your promethium ship to Nauvis when you can bring Nauvis to your promethium ship?
By carefully putting a captive spawner inside of a dome, pressurizing it with thruster oxidizer and irrigating the spawner with water, it is possible to generate a Nauvis-like environment to produce biter eggs right on a space platform, though the microgravity conditions halve the egg production rate.
Conveniently, that same microgravity slowing down the spawner's metabolism combined with the strong containment lets the spawner survive starvation, dehydration or suffocation for 30 minutes, far longer than it usually would.
