Do you feel bored building the same science setup? If so that try this mod. The mod randomizes the science pack recipes and as such offers a new and refreshing gameplay experience. The recipes have been crafted to ensure that game is completable. Additionally, the mod offeres a variety of setting to tweak those recipes and keep the engineer on his toes.

I love the concept. Thought I'd try it out.
1x Red science will cost me 3 wood, 3 copper plate, 5 electric mining drills.
Took 40 minutes to stop laughing and get Automation. Wood is definitely going to be a long term challenge.
115 iron plates per red science does slow down the early game.

Perhaps the 'recipe cost' map option could be used to keep quantities closer to the original recipes, or 'expensive' for the current, challenging behaviour.

Hi, great to hear.
I, too, wasn't happy about the balance, and have tickered with the recipe cost. With next patch, 0.0.3 , recipe result_count will adjust to the recipe cost. I have left in the option to disable this. In addition wood, fluids, science-packs and raw-ressources are now toggleble options.
Check it out, once its out in roughly ~2h for now.
