Initial release. Hostile robotic outposts on Nauvis for Nullius, adapted from Castra Prime (GPL-3.0).
Enemy bases:
- Surface monitoring nodes (ren-data-collector) spawn in walled compounds with laser and flamethrower turrets, power infrastructure, land mines, and mobile units.
- Bases do not generate within 600 tiles of map origin.
- Destroyed monitoring nodes erupt with a nuclear-reactor-scale explosion and leave a large scorch mark.
- Perimeter walls use a wider offset and a centered vehicle gate on each face.
Pollution and detection:
- Re-enables Nullius pollution on Nauvis using the ren-data pollutant ("technological signature").
- Factory machines emit ren-data only when their recipes recursively require electronics; plain power draw does not count.
- Enemy entities never emit pollution or ren-data.
- Mobile units stay near their outpost until ren-data pollution triggers an attack.
Hostile forces (unlock with Nauvis evolution):
- Scout android: engineer appearance, light-armor stats, melee attacks (0%).
- Raider buggy: vanilla car, bullet attacks (10%).
- Assault tank: vanilla tank cannon shells with turret animation (35%).
- Harrier kamikaze: fast Defender-style suicide unit with explosive blast (50%).
- Walker spidertron: vanilla spider legs and rocket attacks (65%).
Combat scaling and balance:
- Hostile attack damage scales with Nauvis evolution from 1× at zero to 4× at full evolution (+300%).
- Monitoring nodes heal slowly; mobile units do not regenerate health.
- Nullius magazines, missiles, and demolition gear realigned to vanilla combat values.
- Five-tier Projectile improvements research chain for bullet damage and firing speed.
- Startup setting ren-enable-auto-targeting (default on): Nullius guns and missiles acquire hostile units instead of ground-only demolition behavior.
Player countermeasures (Nullius tech integration):
- Personal countermeasures: grenades, compact firearm, improvised magazine recipe.
- Automated countermeasures: electric gun turret and benzene flamethrower turret.
- Anti-incursion systems: rifle, laser turret, and advanced magazine unlock.
- Stone wall (half HP of reinforced walls) unlocked from Nullius masonry.
Other:
- Startup setting ren-enable-robotic-enemies to disable base generation.
- English locale for all hostile entities and countermeasure items.
- Fusion-reactor graphics bundled in-mod (no castra-prime-assets dependency).
