well that, when i load a game my chemical plants show a disabled icon, the recipe is not there when i try to set it, my current mods are

the reason it "has" to be a special entity is that i need to intercept the hidden output item, so i cannot do that to all chemical plants, i intentionally removed the technology unlock for the normal holmium recipe so none of the items/progress get lost and to make it easy for players to find which machines they need to manually replace
