Removes all belts and adds pneumatic in/out stations (with built in inserters) that convert any/all items into fluid-like states for transport through pipes.
Alternative lore: LIQUIFY EVERYTHING!!!!
Technically the title of the mod is wrong, if what you're doing is liquifying. Pneumatics refers to gasses, whilst for liquids the term hydraulics would be the appropriate counter part.
Yea... I imagined the operation to be closer to the pneumatic mail delivery systems (so item goes into a case, case goes into the pipe, and is shot via pressurized air to its destination), but its just easier to understand how everything works / what the mod does as 'liquifying' so it sort of transitioned to that closer to release.
Id rename it, but I am not sure what that would do to the mod, so it remains as pneumatics.
all good.
my original plan included an 'empty case' item you would need to provide to package / liquify an item that you would get back when you unpack (and which would naturally move around via the pipe system - so a fluid ala factorio definitions), but preliminary tests of it made me dump the idea rather quick with the words 'why did I think this was a good idea???'
Yeah I definitely get that, sounds quite miserable to play test with no way of sending the capsules back. Or rather, with having to send them back in the first place. Would be like moving everything in barrels, definitely not viable if fun is a requirement. The only way I could even think of making this playable, would probably be making the capsules single use and break on unpacking, but even then, probably not a good idea..
