Personal Repair Network (PRN)
Personal Repair Network is a Quality of Life mod that adds an automated repair management system to your personal construction robot network.
Instead of manually monitoring damaged structures and waiting for available construction robots, PRN intelligently coordinates your personal roboports, available robots, energy supply and repair packs to keep your factory in good condition.
The goal is simple: make maintenance more convenient without removing the resource costs or limitations of the existing repair system.
How It Works
Automated Repair Management
PRN periodically scans the construction areas of your equipped personal roboports and identifies damaged entities that need attention.
When a valid repair target is found, the network coordinates available construction robots and assigns them to repair tasks.
Intelligent Target Prioritization
Not every damaged entity needs immediate attention.
PRN prioritizes more heavily damaged structures, ensuring that critical repairs receive attention before minor damage.
Entities with 98% or more health are ignored to avoid wasting resources on insignificant damage.
Resource-Aware Operation
PRN works within the limits of your existing equipment and resources:
- Robots: Only available robot capacity is considered.
- Energy: Repair activity depends on available energy.
- Energy reserve: The network preserves 40% of available energy as a reserve instead of consuming everything.
- Repair packs: Repairs consume actual repair pack durability. Each durability point provides 6 HP of repair.
PRN does not create free repairs or bypass the normal resource requirements.
Repair Performance
The repair system uses controlled repair throughput and energy consumption:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Repair throughput | 40 HP/s per active stream |
| Energy consumption | 36 kW per active stream |
| Energy reserve | 40% |
| Repair pack efficiency | 6 HP per durability |
| Minimum target damage | More than 2% |
Movement-Aware Operation
The network also considers player movement.
To avoid unnecessary robot activity while travelling at high speed, automatic repair operation pauses when player speed exceeds 60 km/h.
Repair activity resumes once speed drops to 30 km/h or below.
This hysteresis prevents constant starting and stopping when moving around the threshold.
Customization
PRN provides configurable options for its warnings and visual feedback.
You can adjust how repair activity is communicated and displayed, allowing you to keep the system informative without cluttering your gameplay experience.
Design Philosophy
Personal Repair Network is designed as a Quality of Life improvement, not a cheat or an alternative to the game's construction mechanics.
It makes better use of your existing personal roboport infrastructure, available robots and resources, while preserving the limitations and costs of automated repairs.
Build your factory. Let your personal network handle the maintenance.
