- Plutonium cores can be crafted into nuclear bombs or portable fission reactors, which are now also useful as small nuclear reactors or very fast train fuel.
- Depleted uranium ammo can bring you all the way to Aquilo, by being able to break large asteroids.
Choosing Aquilo as your first planet is recommended for people who like to build elaborate space platforms and big Nauvis bases, capable of supplying Aquilo with uranium ore for science production. The research gained from it will help with gathering resources in space and powering Nauvis with advanced nuclear power.

Each planet now has one paired research with every other planet, some recipes have been changed to accommodate that.

- Captive biter spawners are the gleba/aquilo unlock
- Legendary quality is the fulgora/aquilo unlock

Fusion reactors require promethium science to unlock and fusion power cells have a completely new production chain.
