FAQ

What does it add?
For now, the Flyers: flying biters in four evolution tiers (small, medium, big and behemoth), with their own flyer nest. More enemy families are on the way: Brutes and Titans.

Where do flyers come from?
From the flyer nest, which shows up mixed into enemy bases, a bit further from the starting area and less often than the vanilla spawners. Its flyers follow the same evolution as biters: small at first, then medium, big and behemoth.

My walls don't stop them. Is that a bug?
No, that's the point: flyers fly straight over walls, water and cliffs.

My turrets don't shoot them. Why?
Regular turrets can't hit flyers in the air; only anti-air turrets can. Once a flyer lands to wait or to fight, every turret can shoot it like any biter.

Which turrets can shoot them in the air?
With New Turrets (Vanilla+) and Space Age, the vanilla rocket turret can. New Turrets will also bring dedicated anti-air turrets. Turrets from other mods can too, if their author enables it (see "For modders" in the description).

Do I need New Turrets?
It isn't required, but it's recommended: its defences are designed for these enemies.

How strong are flyers?
Their health, damage and resistances follow the vanilla biter of the same tier. What makes them dangerous is that they skip your walls.

Can I set turret priorities for them?
Yes. Flyers appear once per tier in the turret priority list.

Do I need Space Age?
No, it works with the base game.

Can I add it to an existing save?
Yes. Flyer nests appear in newly generated areas of the map.
