New Nauvis enemies in the vanilla style. Flyers: flying biters in four evolution tiers, with their own nest. They cross walls and water, only anti-air turrets can hit them in the air, and they land to fight on the ground.
Mods introducing new content into the game.
Version: 0.0.2
Date: 2026-09-29
Changes:
- Flyer nests are now added next to existing enemy bases instead of taking the place of a vanilla nest. The map is generated exactly as without the mod, and removing the mod leaves every enemy base with its vanilla nests (no gaps).
- Adding the mod to a game in progress: flyer nests are added once to the existing enemy bases, far from the start and never within 50 tiles of anything built by a player.
- Newly generated map areas and bases founded by enemy expansion also get flyer nests.
Version: 0.0.1
Date: 2026-09-29
Features:
- Flyers: flying biters in four evolution tiers (small, medium, big, behemoth), in the vanilla art style.
- They fly straight over walls, water and cliffs; they land when they wait, walk around their spot and fight on the ground, with their own take-off and landing animations.
- While flying they can only be hit by turrets that declare they can shoot at air targets. On the ground every turret can hit them. If an anti-air turret shoots one, it flies to that turret, lands beside it and attacks it.
- Flyer nest: a new enemy spawner, mixed into enemy bases a bit further from the start. Its flyers hatch airborne.
- Turret priority lists: pick a flyer once and it counts both in the air and on the ground.
Modding:
- To make a turret able to shoot flyers in the air, add "flying-robot" (or "air-unit") to its attack_target_mask in data.lua or data-updates.lua.
