Is is possible to integrate this with Realistic Electric trains, i.e. overhead catenary like this mod: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Realistic_Electric_Trains_Continued_2SE?

That mod has been vibe-coded to make sure it is up to date for the game, so I'm not sure how hard it would be, especially since they didn't publish the code. I always felt this was missing from the game. Battey electric trains like you've integrated are also quite cool.
