Science has a concept of metallic hydrogen, which is a compressed gas with a pressure similar to that found at the center of gas giants. Unlike ordinary liquids, this material has the properties of degenerate matter, with a large reserve of energy. Despite its liquid phase, its viscosity and inertia make it visually similar to the fuel of the future, but with enormous internal energy for future technologies.
