Loaders Modernized
A Space Aged, compact loader the size of a single tile. These loaders should be relatively UPS friendly
and do not use LUA script to move items. They also do not use hidden inserters to move inventory. However, they
do use power. So keep those power poles handy!
Features
- Works in Factorio 2.0 and supports Space Age.
- Control by circuit supported.
- Works with cargo wagons.
- Loaders snap to belts and away from non-belts.
- Stack items on to the belts based on belt stacking technology level.
- Split Lanes!!!
- Wait for Full Stack configurable per loader.
- Respect insert limits for machines configurable per loader.
- AAI Loader graphics can be used as long as AAI Loader mod is installed.
- Stacked loaders can be used without Space Age! This requires the use of the Stack Inserters mod.
- Factorio 1.x maps with a Miniloaders can be migrated using a companion mod. - Miniloader migration.
Upgrade Planner
The upgrade planner has some idiosyncrasies. Unlike the deconstruction planner, there is not a way to collapse multiple entities into one. The different capabilities of the loader (overfill slots, wait for full stack, and split lanes) cannot be turned on / off for a loader while the game is running. Separate entities need to be swapped in that have the desired combination of settings defined while Factorio is loading. This results in the upgrade planner being a mess. At each tier there are n^2 loader (where n is the number of switchable properties) to choose from. The base loader and then loaders with icons indicating which features are enabled.

Wait for full stack
There are two ways to handle upgrade planners for Loaders Modernized.
- Manually choose each of the loader variants and their upgrade path.
- Use the upgrade planner tool that pops up when holding a planner with Loaders Modernized within.
Note: The planner must be in the players inventory, or the game blueprint library. It will not work for planners that are in the players blueprint library.
To use the upgrade planner tool
- Create an upgrade planner that has the upgrade path defined for the base loader (no icons listed above) in any given tier.

- Pick up the planner onto your cursor and notice the upgrade planner tool on the left of your screen.

- Click on the green (left) button to all loader upgrade variants that match the base upgrade definition. Click the red button to remove the upgrade variant mappings and leave the base mapping.

Chutes
This mod does add cheep chutes to the game. The default behavior limits them to input (belt -> inventory) only, and they completely (over)fill machines.
There are settings that can be toggled to allow output, enable filtering, and cause them to respect insert limits of machines.
Alternate belt sets supported
An API is available so that overhaul and belt mods can directly add loaders.
