Whenever I mine up a laser tank or a laser car, the game gives me a normal car/tank instead of its laser variant. Additionally, even when I have power generation, transformers, and batteries in my laser vehicles, I cannot fire the tank/car's weapons.

do you have laser chargers placed in the vehicle's equipment grid? (you need at least 2 for the tank but i will fix that too)

No problem. Great concept, by the way. I had hoped the Electric Vehicles Reborn mod would allow this (to allow for fully electric-only vehicles), but found that it was lacking in that regard. This is a nice alternative.
