With the new Biter AI, it would appear biters kind of break with using mines (oh, wonderful mines, always so buggy and weird), and this mod kind of exasperates that.
Once a "force" of biters encounter a minefield and one blows up, all the other biters will sort of freeze in place for a few seconds, during which the mine thrower will plant a new mine that has to burrow, leading to the biters aggroing the mine and very often destroying it before it burrows, leading to an infinite cycle of BLEEEP!!!! as mines gets continually destroyed.
Since fixing the biters' AI is outside of this mod's scope, I suggest giving the mine thrower a "sleep" time to replace destroyed mines. Would that completely break some use case that I'm not familiar with? For me, with very occasional attacks, it would be handy if it slept for like...10 seconds before it started replacing blown up mines, instead of instantly responding to destroyed mines.
But someone playing far more aggressive mods or settings might disagree. Thoughts?
Edit: I'm aware of the damage resistance setting for mines and while this does alleviate the constant bleeping, it doesn't really alleviate the core problem: biters getting stuck chain-attacking your mines.
