Not sure how possible it is, but it would be nice if the extra Spidertrons' technologies were able to inherit changes made to the base Spidertron tech. For example, when using Nuclear Science, the Spidertron requires Nuclear Science packs, but the Squad techs added by this mod still use the vanilla tech requirements.
As rare an occurrence as it is, I believe that is how it should work, but I copied/created the new Spidetron tech in the data step, which meant any changes made to the base technology in updates and final-fixes wouldn't be reflected in the new techs.
Fixed by adding a tech re-copy step in final-fixes, implemented in v1.0.6
