🌐 Enable Planet Mods Lite

by Kryzeth

A more streamlined, Lite version of the Enable All Planet Mods, removing several planet mods which either warped the early game too much, or simply did not add enough unique content for the mid to late game. A more playability-focused planet pack. 🌐

g [Question/Answered] Customizing modlist

I like the mod as a whole, but I'd like to disable "Dea Dia" and maybe "metal and stars" too, as there are just too many planets for an actual playthrough (30 different science vials by default! It's a bit much for a legit game) but, having all the libraries and everything installed is still helpful. I tried just disabling Dea Dia and Metal and Stars, but this mod won't let the game launch without them.

So is there an easy way to change the dependencies for this mod, or do I have to disable this mod to make changes?

Unfortunately, both Dea Dia and Metal and Stars mods have some required dependencies that won't be cleanly removed if you were to just enable this mod, then disable those mods, because you'll still have those required dependencies.

If you don't mind those incidental dependencies, you can just enable this mod as a shortcut, then disable Dea Dia, Metal and Stars, and then disable this mod. All the other planets and stuff will still be enabled and load properly; the only actual change that this mod makes is if you happen to install Lignumis, and even then, it's more of a cosmetic tech tree change that only applies with one specific non-default setting

If you are comfortable with making modifications to existing mod files, you can easily make your own customized version with the planets removed by following these newly added instructions in the FAQ section

The short version is you basically just extract the mod, change the name of the mod so it doesn't get overwritten by future updates, and remove the planets you don't want from info.json; all it takes is a text editor. This would prevent those unnecessary dependency mods from getting loaded, specifically Armoured Biters and Frost Biters, but also stuff like Lex's Aircraft, Spidertron Partols, Robocharger, all things you might not need or want, but that would add a bit extra initial loading time or possibly even lag.
