Interstellar Progression Overhaul 1.6.0 — System Science Integration

IPO turns a large Space Age planet modpack into a readable five-chapter interstellar campaign.

What IPO is

IPO is a curated non-K2SO Space Age planet-pack campaign organiser. It is meant to make a selected set of planet mods behave like one authored progression path instead of a loose pile of optional worlds.

It focuses on:

  • readable slipstream routing
  • discovery-loop protection
  • chapter science milestones
  • curated planet placement
  • Campaign Board guidance
  • integration for supported planet-pack outputs

What is new in 1.6.0

System science packs now integrate actual chapter-world outputs.

Before this pass, IPO system science packs were mostly milestone/compression packs built from vanilla and Space Age sciences. They helped the tech tree stay readable, but they did not always make the supported planets feel required enough.

In 1.6.0, each system science recipe keeps its milestone role while adding safe world-specific ingredients from the matching chapter when those items or science packs exist.

Examples:

  • Pyraxis science can use Castra battlefield science, Tenebris bioluminescent science, and Tiberium science outputs.
  • Viridion science looks for Rubia, Crucible, Paracelsin, Ribbonia, and Maraxsis outputs.
  • Myridian science looks for Tellus, Pelagos, Aquilo, and cold-frontier support outputs.
  • Solara and Terminus also look for appropriate chapter outputs where supported mods expose them.

Survey technology costs remain stable. This pass changes the crafted system science pack recipes, not the survey costs.

Difference from Razi Protocol

Razi Protocol is a heavier K2SO/Krastorio-style mega-pack bridge. IPO is the curated Space Age planet-pack campaign layer: it keeps K2SO out of the core identity and focuses on organising supported planet mods into Solara, Myridian, Viridion, Pyraxis, and Terminus.

Public campaign spine

  • Solara — launch frontier
  • Myridian — cold frontier
  • Viridion — specialist branch
  • Pyraxis — hazard corridor
  • Terminus — edge-space finale

In-game Campaign Board

The top-left IPO Board button now acts as a chapter objective board. It shows the current chapter, required anchor worlds, support worlds, system science status, chapter reward status, the next unlock target, and the Terminus Endgame Bridge.

Chapter reward technologies

Each system science pack now feeds a chapter reward technology so the packs have a visible gameplay purpose beyond compression:

  • Solara Route Stabilization
  • Myridian Frontier Logistics
  • Viridion Specialist Processing
  • Pyraxis Hazard Operations
  • Terminus Deep-Space Integration
