Interstellar Progression Overhaul

Interstellar Progression Overhaul is a curated Space Age modpack bridge that connects many planet, science, enemy, and endgame mods into one coherent progression route across multiple star systems.

IPO turns a large planet pack into an authored campaign spine instead of a pile of unrelated destinations. The current campaign is organized into five chapter systems:

  • Solara — the launch frontier and familiar Space Age bridge
  • Myridian — the cold long-range frontier
  • Viridion — the specialist exotic branch and outer-board entry
  • Pyraxis — the hazard corridor
  • Terminus — the deep-space finale

1.2.0 — Science Compression & Stable Starmap

The 1.2.0 release combines Science Compression Polish with the accepted stable starmap candidate.

The protected route authority is:

Lignumis -> Nauvis
Fulgora -> Cerys only
Fulgora -> Viridion Slipstream
Myridian Slipstream -> Aquilo -> Tellus
Foliax -> Crucible Orbit/Approach -> Planet Crucible

Features

  • Five authored system chapters with slipstream anchors
  • System science packs for chapter mastery
  • Science compression pass for large late-research science-pack walls
  • Discovery technologies for each campaign chapter
  • Cleaner starmap route authority for large planet packs
  • Lignumis start path support
  • Fulgora-only Cerys route
  • Myridian Aquilo placement
  • Crucible Approach / Crucible Orbit gating for Planet Crucible

Release focus

This release is focused on progression structure, starmap readability, and late-game science cleanup. The starmap has been frozen from the accepted in-game route review baseline; future 1.2.x work should avoid broad board rewrites unless a specific screenshot identifies a remaining issue.
